We were blessed with some amazing early November weather and fall colors. Brandon and Kim will be tying the knot in Miami and already have a great photographer there, but I was honored to spend some time getting to know them both while capturing these images.

In Memory of Lucille Whiten Ausborn

On Friday the 11th of January 2013, we lost one of the sweetest people I’ve had the honor of knowing and photographing, Lucille Whiten Ausborn. Every interaction I had with Lucille and her family was up-lifting. From the engagement shoot, to the wedding, to our most recent newborn and family shoot with her and Greg’s first born, Evan Kendall, Lucille’s great zeal for life was apparent. Even with the short amount of time I spent with Lucille and her precious family, I could definitely sense her thankful heart for the blessings God granted her. I’m thankful to have known her. I’m thankful to have captured the great affection she had for those she loved.

To Lucille and Greg’s baby boy, Evan Kendall: May these images always be a reminder to you of your mom’s kind nature and sweet spirit. I will make sure this post stays live in perpetuity so your mom’s beautiful face is always just a google search away.

Alex and Aya met while Alex was stationed in Japan with the USMC. Their wedding was a perfect mix of American and Japanese culture. Aya even had several friends and family make the long journey to Georgia for the big event. I loved working with these two!

Josh and Hollie | The Proposal | Barnsley Gardens | Adairsville, GA

Ah…where to begin? Josh and I go back about 6 years or so when I promoted a show that his band played. Since then we’ve become great friends. Over the years I’ve done several shoots with his band Ocean is Theory. It feels strange saying it, but I’m a bit of a mentor to Josh. I get to tell him things I wish my early twenties self could have heard. I can only pray I’m giving him the best advice. I had the honor of helping him plan out his proposal to Hollie. We even took a trip up to Barnsley Gardens to scope everything out and make sure this thing would be perfect. And perfect it was.

Hollie had NO clue I was there shooting…

This is Josh explaining how difficult is was keeping the proposal a secret…

Congrats Josh and Hollie! We are very much looking forward to seeing what God has in store for you two. Blessings.
