JD and Evie’s Engagement Shoot!

By Engagement Shoots No Comments

I’m so happy to be shooting the wedding of my long time friend Evie. JD and Evie are getting married next year just outside Chicago. I’m really looking forward to it!

This engagement session was the first one that I’ve shot in the early (and I mean early) morning. We had a great time meeting up at the crack of dawn and came away with some beautiful images…

Cliff and Heather’s Wedding!

Check out the slide show HERE!

I had a great time shooting Cliff and Heather’s wedding in Columbus, GA. This was the second wedding I’ve shot in Columbus this year and both grooms were active military. I’m already a huge supporter of the military and the incredible job they do for all of us, so I’m always deeply honored to shoot a wedding for a member of our armed forces. Cliff is in the Army and actually returned home from Iraq not too long ago.

On that note, I’ll start off with an image that my excellent second shooter Steven shot…

Heather getting all ready in her beautiful dress…

I love this shot of Heather’s little niece looking up at her dress in awe…

Had some time before the ceremony to get some great portraits of Heather…

Cliff and Heather’s ceremony was held at the Infantry Center Chapel at Fort Benning

Cliff and Heather decided to have their grand exit right after their ceremony. Everyone gathered up rose pedals and formed a massive line outside the chapel to see them off.

The wedding party…

The reception was held at the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus. The first dance…

the cake…

These little ‘sushi bites’ complimented the groom’s sushi inspired cake. How cool is that?

father/daughter dance and mother/son dance…

I’ll end with some party shots…

I think Heather was happy or something…

Kevin and Micaela’s Wedding!

By Weddings No Comments

Check out the slide show HERE.

Kevin and Micaela had a gorgeous ceremony and reception at the Fernbank Museum. Here are some highlights from the day…

I was able to have a good bit of time with both Kevin and Micaela before the ceremony. So, I of course had to take advantage of the beautiful venue and get some great portraits…

My second shooter and assistant, Steven Wallace captured some great bird’s eye view images during the ceremony…

ring exchange…

I was able to get a shot of EVERYONE by shooting from a 3rd floor balcony…

of course…the amazing dinosaurs…

and…the PARTY!

and lastly…had to get a shot in with the big T-REX…

Don’t forget to check out the slide show HERE.

Habitat for Humanity :: Build 2008

By Personal Work One Comment

My church is part of a coalition that builds a Habitat for Humanity house every year for a local family in need. I’m proud to be a part of it. If you’ve ever thought of helping out on one of these builds you really should. There are many many areas in which to serve. And no, you don’t need to be an expert carpenter to do it! If you can hammer a nail in, you’re set. Even if manual labor just isn’t your gig, you can always help with things like hospitality (bringing water and food to the workers), or fund raising.

So, this is your encouragement….get out and serve! A few shots from earlier today….

This is Julian standing in front of our progess thus far. I go to him every time I have no clue what I’m doing and he sets me straight.

Michael, our site coordinator. He was looking over the plans and got caught off guard by me shoving a camera in his face. 🙂
