Baby Laura and Family

By Portraits No Comments

I met up with Tom, Katie, and baby Laura last week for an amazing portrait session. I’ve known Tom for over twenty years and it was great catching up with him and the family. This was my first time meeting little Laura.

cuteness overload…

look at those gorgeous eyes and big ol’ baby cheeks!

the family…

I set up a mini-on-location-studio inside and did a few shots. Love love this one…

Second Shooting with Lauren Wright Payne

By FYI, Weddings No Comments

For those of you who may not be aware, wedding photographers I know here in Atlanta have each other’s back. Unlike some relationships in other industries, we photographers genuinely like each other. Just had all your gear stolen and have a wedding the next day? We’ve got you covered. Fell suddenly ill and need a quality replacement pronto?  We’ve got you covered.  Simply need a second shooter for a few hours?  Yep, we’re there for that too.

Fellow photographer, Lauren Wright (now Payne) needed a second shooter for Marc and Nicole’s beautiful wedding today at Glen Errol Estate and I gladly said yes.  Here are a few images I shot that caught my eye:

During the ceremony I was able to find a vantage point in which I could get both Marc’s reaction seeing his bride for the first time as well as Nicole being escorted down the isle by her two brothers.

the happy newlyweds!

Congratulations Marc and Nicole!

Portrait Shoot with Clark and Lane Howard! | Maui, Hawaii

By Portraits, Travel 5 Comments

Earlier this year I joined the staff of the Clark Howard show on their annual staff trip! While we were there I did a portrait session with Clark and his wife Lane. For those of you who live here in Atlanta, you’re more than familiar with Clark and his years of being the best money expert and consumer advisor around. For those of you who may not know, Clark hosts both a nationally syndicated radio talk show and a tv show on HLN aimed at teaching you how to “save more, spend less, and avoid getting ripped off.” 🙂

We were blessed with the most gorgeous Hawaii morning, but I suppose every morning in Hawaii is gorgeous!

These two were soo much fun to photograph!

found this row of kayaks and *had* to use them for some shots…

Hopefully I’ll get around to posting more from the trip soon!
