Billy and Claire’s Wedding!

By Weddings 3 Comments

CHECK OUT THE SLIDESHOW **HERE**

Billy and Claire’s wedding ceremony was on the campus of the University of Georgia at the old Chapel. The reception following was held at the gorgeous Visitor’s Center and Conservatory at the State Botanical Garden. It was a mild November day with plenty of bright sunshine. I think Billy and Claire had the largest wedding party I’ve shot thus far with 12 of their closest friends on each side! I could definitely tell that Billy and Claire are blessed with great friendships. now some images….

if you’re thinking of having a huge wedding party like Billy and Claire….I’ve got you covered…

After the ceremony the sun had already set, so I had to get creative with some off-camera lighting. I can’t stress enough how important it is for photographers to know how to use lights. Had I not known how to utilize my flash off the camera I would have been forced to use a boring flat looking light coming from an on-camera flash. For you photographers out there…if you’d like to learn more about off-camera lighting definitely pay a visit to my good friend and colleague Zack Arias.

I love this next shot showing friends in the reflection seeing them off…

Sergio and Angela’s wedding ceremony was held at beautiful Piedmont Park and the reception following at the Park Tavern in the Piedmont Room. What an incredible place for a wedding. The weather was amazing that day but got a little chilly as the sun went down.

Jason and Chelsey’s Wedding!

CHECK OUT THE SLIDESHOW **HERE**

Jason and Chelsey’s wedding was breathtaking. It was held on a beautiful hill side overlooking a valley just outside of Summerville, GA. I had a hard time choosing images for this post, so I just decided to post a ton!

the hand painted sign pointing the way to the wedding site…

Everyone got ready back at the church down the road. Scott, Chelsey’s dad, played the piano calming everyone’s nerves…

The church, Beersheba Presbyterian, is the church Chelsey grew up at and is really special to her…

yes Jason…you are a rock star…

Chelsey’s dad surprised her with a horse drawn carriage to take them to the wedding site…

I was sitting on the tailgate of my Bronco when I shot this one. Thanks to Steven Wallace my assistant for his steady driving!

the carriage coming into view…

I love this little girl’s expression when she sees Chelsey riding up…

the ceremony…

Jason sang for Chelsey…

the unity candle…

wide view of the ceremony…

they released doves…

I had just enough daylight left after the ceremony for some great portraits…

the party…

this is what happens when a wedding cake is really good…

the grand exit…

Jason and Chelsey were surprised with fireworks. I do have to admit that yes these are the actual fireworks from that night, but I did do a little photoshop magic with it 🙂

the getaway…

Adam and Laura’s wedding and reception took place at the lovely Meadowlark Gardens in Griffin, GA. The day was overcast which made for a very peaceful mood. I have lots to share…on to the images…

meet…Xander.

Several weeks back I had the privilege of spending some quality portrait time at the home of the Schumann family (Rob, Tunrade, and the one and only little man Xander).

When I delivered this first image to Xander’s mom she asked, “How do you get a 7-month old to give you such a pensive look?” My answer….I have no clue.

These looks Xander gives are priceless. I think this one is his, ‘yes I know I’m awesome sitting here on this massive couch all by myself’ look.

give me a blank wall and an awesome subject like Xander and here ya go…

shots with Mom and Dad….
